Dear applicant:

The WTYSA Executive Committee has instituted a scholarship program.
Scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each will be awarded to one male and
one female student based on the following criteria:

1.          The applicant must have participated in the WTYSA either as a player,
       coach or referee for at least one season.
2.    The applicant must be actively involved with their high school soccer
       team in some manner. The applicant may be a player, student trainer,
       manager, etc.
3.    The applicant must show proof of acceptance to an institution of
       higher learning.



Please submit the attached application along with the following items before
May 15, 2009 to the above address to be eligible for this year’s scholarships.




 


1.                  Copy of latest high school report card or transcripts.
2.                  Two letters of recommendation from current coach, teacher etc.
3.                  Essay of 200 words or less regarding your experience in the WTYSA.



All applications received will be summarized by the committee chairman and
forwarded without names, addresses or identifying information to the
committee members for consideration. The committee chairman reserves the
right to censor any information which he feels may identify the applicant. The
committee chairman will excuse any member of the committee that may have
a conflict of interest regarding any applicant.

Winners will be notified by June 2, 2009.
